1816 The town of Union is platted by Ebenezer Howe.
 
1846 The name of the town is changed to Whitcomb.
 
1861 The church is built and dedicated.
 
1867 A map notes that Whitcomb is a thriving town with two general stores, five manufactoring businesses, a doctor, and a church.
 
1926 The Church building is raised, basement added, and major remodeling is done.
